Joe urges military option

[I]f there's any hope of the Iranians stopping, for instance, their nuclear weapons development, we can't just talk to them."

Lieberman said much of the action could probably be done by air, although he would leave the strategy to the generals in charge.

"[T]hey can't believe that they have immunity for training and equipping people to come in and kill Americans," he said. "We cannot let them get away with it. If we do, they'll take that as a sign of weakness on our part and we will pay for it in Iraq and throughout the region and ultimately right here at home."

I'm sorry i have been away so long. I am truly sorry to have missed this one. Joe likes picking fights...maybe because he doesn't have a clue what that entails. If he had gone to iraq and realized how bad it was going, maybe he would think differently about this. But in some weird sci-fi experiment gone awry, Joe sees through George W's eyes, and in fact, which would explain alot about both their nonsense, I believe that the two of them share one meager brain. The answers here may one day entail military action, but that will be after all diplomacy has failed. DIPLOMACY is for Diplomats. Politics is for Politicians. And WAR is for a last resort. Also, please let us not forget that Iran would not be causing all this trouble, or helping to lay traps for our troops, if we hadn't invaded Iraq.

I agree with you that war is a last resort. However, we are getting closer and closer to the point of no return.

Thank G*d there is bi-partisan US agreement that Iran can not be allowed to go nuclear. The resulting race for a Sunni bomb and the infusion of nuclear material to jihadists would be disasterous.

Military options should remain squarely on the table...i am pleased to see that this is the view across the mainstream US political spectrum.
