Capturing the MidEast in short soundbites: poignant
reflections by people who understand the complexities of the Middle East. My philosophy is: "less is more."
You won't agree with everything that's here, but I'm confident you will find it interesting!
Excepting the titles, my own comments are minimal. Instead I rely on news sources to string together what I hope is an interesting, politically challenging, non-partisan, non-ideological narrative.

"Faces of Israel" banners line 5th Avenue, New York City
Beautiful faces. (Shayna punim). What if the advertising agency also showed us seniors? Do you think the photographers would take pictures of the banners then?
Good point...of the ones i found at http://www.israelfm.org/60israelis there is one of a [slightly] older woman.
Hm...i suspect there are many more than those posted on the web page above...let's hope they're a better age spread. It's a project of The Consulate General of Israel in New York.
I don't think they have anything against seniors. I suspect they are trying to appeal to 2 groups: Those that imagine Israelis all look like the ultra-orthodox of Williamsburg Brooklyn, and those young Americans that will need to firmly support Israel in the future. They are dispelling the myth of one, while creating a kinship with the other.
