Saudi Court Sentences 75-Year-Old Woman to Lashes -Maggie Michael
A 75-year-old widow in Saudi Arabia, Khamisa Sawadi, has been sentenced to 40 lashes and four months in jail for mingling with two young men who are not close relatives.
The newspaper Al-Watan identified one man as the nephew of Sawadi's late husband, and the other as his friend. They were arrested by the religious police after delivering bread to Sawadi, and were also convicted and sentenced to lashes and prison.

Isn't it a shame, a widow at that, cannot ask for a loaf of bread to be gotten for her even when she cannot go out in public to get it herself!!? Seems to me, the man-made religion and rules they have, cater to the same men that sin themselves "looking" on the women is just backwards from what it should be. Where is the compassion in this religion!? It is NOWHERE to be seen!!! BIG MEN...HA! They are nothing but cowards doing the devils work!!!!
You will find compassion among Moslems...Moslem men included.
But it is indeed a sad story, one which points to some serious social problems in the House of Saud.
Let us pray that the hands of evil do not prevail.
