Before Congress gives Abbas a dime, let's first hear him unambiguously condemn the Aqsa Brigades [who carried out the attack in Eilat] and purge them from Fatah. (National Review)
Reasonable and a nice idea, but politically it seems highly unlikely. As I have pointed out in the past, it is not the American way. We have a history through to the present, of supporting anyone who is against another that we perceive as even more of an enemy. While their is Hamas, Abbas will do just fine by America.
