Capturing the MidEast in short soundbites: poignant reflections by people who understand the complexities of the Middle East. My philosophy is: "less is more." You won't agree with everything that's here, but I'm confident you will find it interesting! Excepting the titles, my own comments are minimal. Instead I rely on news sources to string together what I hope is an interesting, politically challenging, non-partisan, non-ideological narrative.

YouTube finally does the right thing
YouTube Bans Terrorism Training Videos -Eileen Sullivan
You won't find terrorist training videos on YouTube anymore. Google's popular video-sharing site now bans this footage that advertises terrorism or extremist causes.
After pressure from Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman, the Internet search engine revised its community guidelines for posting videos on YouTube. The guidelines include bans on: videos that incite others to commit violent acts; videos on things like how to make bombs; and footage of sniper attacks.

The article does show that there were some merits to leaving this alone, but over all I think this is probably a good thing. Glad Joe could finally contribute something positive for the country and its fight on terrorism before the Democrat majority expands in the Senate and they can finally discard him; freeing him for LOVEFEST 2009: George W. Bush and friends speaking engagements. Primarily this will mean weekly appearances at Bob Jones University and a regular "A piece of my mind" segment on the O'Reilly Factor.
