Hamas announced Thursday that the six-month cease-fire with Israel in Gaza was officially over. Palestinians fired nine Kassam rockets and seven mortar shells at Israel. Close to 50 rockets have been fired over the past three days.

They may have simply used the ceasefire as a way to arm themselves, but their ending it and bombing Israel may finally turn the tide of public opinion in Israel's favor. This is a necessity for some of the coming strategic moves that Israel and the West will likely have to make against targets, such as Iran, in the coming years.
