The New Israeli Spy?

Spy Pigeons and Secret Squirrels in Iran -Dion Nissenbaum

Iran says its security services have arrested two suspected "spy pigeons" near its well-guarded Nantaz nuclear site.

One of the pigeons had a black-coated metal ring and invisible strings, security officials said. Just last year, Iran arrested 14 squirrels for spying.

"The squirrels were carrying spy gear of foreign agencies, and were stopped before they could act, thanks to the alertness of our intelligence services," Iran's state-sponsored news agency reported.

It's always the pigeon that you least expect! Except when it is the squirrel, of course! Apparently they haven't yet discovered the Israeli roach-cams and rat-lie detectors. More stories to follow.

Hey, you're good @ this.

I've said many times that the Middle East is stranger than fiction...this story proves it!

Even stranger, is that the article implies that it could be accurate. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas any more...

Oh, I am sure they are strapping spy equipment to animals, and anything else they can. I just feel bad they 'outed' Secret Squirrel. I really like him. Maybe he and Plame can start a support group.

Ha.
Someone should alert PETA...perhaps they can ask for a Red Cross inspection of the facilities holding the detainees.

Detainees? I think not. Check the local restaurants for 'Squab" and of course, "Dusky Tree Mink (aka Squirrel)--the other Gray meat. It's what's for dinner!"

By the way, I would say those were, once again, great pictures, but I have seen Karl Rove in that jacket and hat before, but the second shot is computer generated as I have it on good authority that Condi Rice does not know hot to operate a camera, because Bush and Cheney never showed her how. Unless Rumsfeld did it on his way out so she could take pretty pictures of all the peace in the MidEast that these guys were soon going to accomplish.
