I can do without thinking of Arafat's sex life. If he was a pedophile, then it is very unfortunate that he was not tried criminally and punished, but I do not know if that was true. Anything else was his business, about the only things in his life that were not for the public forum. I do think that very religious people who push their morals on others, are hypocrites when their "secret lives" are exposed, but that seems as endemic of American Conservative Republican political figures as anyone else.
No one could charge Arafat with a crime...he was the top of the food chain in a thugocracy...no court system with any teeth...in fact, they still do not have working institutions like courts.
What is newsworthy is how the story has been buried by Palestinians, who continue to claim that Israeli's poisoned him.
The stories about his sexual orientation change his image quite a bit...
