Ending Gaza's tunnel smuggling

IDF Focuses on Philadelphi Corridor -David Horovitz

The IDF's former Gaza commander, Maj.-Gen Samia, offered this prescription:

"The Philadelphi Corridor between Egypt and Gaza should be the first priority for Israel. We should not expect the Egyptians to do the job [stopping Hamas’ cross border tunnel smuggling] for us; so this means we should clear the three kilometers from our side. As I have been saying for years, Israel should reoccupy Philadelphi [Gaza's border with Egypt] and should stay there until we have had a peaceful relationship with the Palestinians for 25 years."

Why Doesn't Israel Have the Same Right to Self-Defense as Other Nations?
-Marvin Hier

At the end of World War II, President Harry Truman initiated the Marshall Plan, investing vast sums to rebuild Germany. But he did so only with the clear understanding that the money would build a new kind of Germany - not a Fourth Reich that would continue the policies of Adolf Hitler.

Yet that is precisely what the world will be doing if we once again entrust funds to Hamas terrorists and their Iranian puppet masters.

Somehow, the Wall Street Journal got this right. That must mean it is so obvious it cannot be misconstrued, because if it could be, they would hyave done it.

You're funny. The WSJ has a decent editorial policy on the MidEast. They "get" the jihadi threat. That's not true of many papers in the country.
