With Shalit Deal Complete, Rockets Resume from Gaza

Gaza Rocket Fire Kills Israeli Man in Ashkelon

Palestinians in Gaza fired at least 27 rockets at Israel.

Moshe Ami, 56, a father of four, was killed in Ashkelon. Two rockets landed outside Beersheba. Schools were closed in towns within 40 km of Gaza, including Beersheba, Ashkelon and Kiryat Malachi.

UPDATE:

Rockets Still Flying from the Real Palestinian State -Jonathan S. Tobin

While UNESCO has voted to admit Palestine as a member state, the actual Palestinian state in Gaza gave the world another reminder of what such statehood actually means when it showered southern Israel with a barrage of missiles, murdering one Israeli. Palestinian independence in Gaza has only meant one thing: the right of terrorists to shoot at Jews with impunity.

It is amazing how the world ignores this.

They won't ignore it once Israel fights back.

"Israel" will not be fighting back on its own, nor will its imminent attack on Iran be fully carried out by itself. It is the United States, the true policeman of the middle east, that will take over once Israel launches its first missile strike, plunging the world into a third great war, with devastating consequences for all -- religionists and secularists alike. Support for this kind of militarism under the constant fear of anti-semitism ignores the socio-political elements of the Palestinian gripe with Israel; that is, it could be that it isn't so much backward Islamism that is the root of Jew-hatred in Palestine (although Islamist ignorance is a problem in its own right), but the decades-long occupation of land that rightfully belonged to the peoples living there at the time of the first Zionist settlements. We must remember that it is ethically questionable to lay claim to lands that are already occupied, seize their territory, and callously declare them in the name of the new occupiers, in this case, Zionist Israel. And this becomes only the first injustice when you take into account the Israeli government's apartheid-like favoritism of certain ethnic groups (Jews); fear of Nazi resurgence aside, do we really want to head back down the road of ethnic separatism again, even if this time around the Jewish state is the one doing the separating?

Dear Anonymous,
How can Israel be considered an occupying force when Jews have occupied Israel and Jerusalem for thousands of years...continuously, I would add.
Israel is not apartheid...Israeli Arabs have the same rights as Jews in Israel.
If you look closely, you will realize that Arab Rejectionism is the root cause of the Arab-Israeli problem.
